Each Precious Moments figurine begins as a detailed illustration. A sculptor painstakingly hand molds this drawn image into a clay model. From this model, plaster molds are made for casting the figurine with porcelain clay slip. After finishing, drying, and polishing, skilled artists paint the porcelain bisque figurine by hand. Dust the figurine regularly; do not submerge in water as that may cause permanent damage to the porous material. Carefully packaged for safe shipping, the figurine comes in a box crafted from recycled materials. An alternate model of this sculpture featuring a little boy is available for separate purchase.
